Marina Zelenika

An internal web application that brings together the marina’s day-to-day operations, including vessel records, winter storage, work orders and task management. Everything in one place, making the work easier to manage and the business easier to follow.

One application for the marina

The marina’s daily work includes storing vessels, organising service work, scheduling lifts and launches, and ordering parts. These jobs are connected, and the team needs to see what has been agreed, what is done and what is still waiting.

We built an application for Marina Zelenika that keeps these records together. Information is linked to the relevant vessel and work order, so the team can check previous work, materials used and upcoming tasks without searching through separate parts of the application.

The day’s tasks at a glance

The dashboard shows today’s schedule, active work orders, winter storage occupancy and items running low. The team can see what is planned for the day and which jobs need attention.

Each item links to the relevant vessel, work order or schedule, so work can continue directly from the overview.

Vessel records

Each vessel has a file with technical specifications, owner and engine details, photographs and winter storage records. Previous names and owners are also kept, so earlier records remain available after a change.

The file includes the history of service work, materials used, lifts, launches and notes. When a vessel returns to the marina, the team can check what was done previously and what work was agreed.

Winter storage layout

Winter storage is shown as a layout of racks, yards and the hangar, with marked positions. It shows where each vessel is stored, which spaces are free and which are unavailable. Clicking an occupied position opens the vessel’s details.

When assigning a space, the application checks that it is available and that the vessel’s length is suitable for the selected zone. Relocations are recorded, and the position is released when the stay ends.

Work orders and tasks

Each service job has a work order linked to its vessel. The order records tasks, deadlines, priorities and the people responsible. Orders are grouped by status, making it easy to see what is in progress, waiting for parts or completed.

The team can track individual tasks and record completed work within the order. Orders can also be printed, with a list of jobs and space for notes taken during the work.

Inventory and billing

Inventory records stock received, issued and returned. An issued part can be linked to a vessel or work order, showing where it was used. Items can be found by internal, OEM or alternative codes, or by scanning a barcode or QR code with a phone camera.

For billing, the team selects completed work, materials, lifts, launches and outside services already recorded against the vessel. The application keeps track of billed items, reducing the need to check and enter the same information again.

Design and development

We handled the full design, architecture and development of the application. It is built with Laravel, PHP, Blade, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Administrative and operational users have access to the features they need for their work.

We paid particular attention to how changes affect related records. Moving a vessel updates its position and records the move in its history. Issuing a part updates stock levels and keeps a record of the job it was used for.
